When it reaches a point where we start noticing it on a daily basis, or it starts affecting our normal activities, it’s time to come in and see if a custom knee brace is a good option for you. Whether these ‘normal activities’ are strenuous like running or sport, or are simply bending down to play with your grandkids or getting up out of a chair, knee pain shouldn’t be a limiting factor to you doing the things that you love to do. Custom knee braces can be a great option for helping with a wide variety of knee problems, particularly for Osteoarthritis and for Post-ACL Injury. A Tall Tree clinician will thoroughly examine your lower extremity (joints, ligaments, and muscles), movement quality, and lifestyle. We assess your gait pattern, range of motion limitations, and strength imbalances. We use specialized equipment to measure your knee proportions and ensure a perfect fit. We gather the history of your knee problems and what areas of your life are impacted the most. This forms a comprehensive clinical picture that guides us to make the best choices possible for your brace, as well as to formulate a comprehensive plan that will touch on exercises, life habits, diet, and your goals.

We ask about the history of your foot problems and how your sore feet are impacting your life. This forms a comprehensive clinical picture that guides us to make the best orthotics possible.

Naturopathic medicine is a health care approach that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. A Naturopathic Doctor aims to stimulate the healing power of the body and treat the underlying cause of disease. Symptoms of disease are seen as warning signals of improper functioning of the body and unfavorable lifestyle habits. Naturopathic medicine emphasizes disease as a process rather than as an entity.
Our Naturopaths treat both acute and chronic conditions. They deliver naturopathic medicine based on the individual patient – their physiological, structural, psychological, social, spiritual, environmental, and lifestyle factors.

I’m an occupational therapist who is passionate about meeting people where they’re at and supporting them in achieving meaningful, individualized goals. My interest in occupational therapy began years ago after watching a close friend recover from a stroke. Seeing the powerful impact an occupational therapist had on his life solidified my desire to pursue this profession.

At the core of my practice is making sure you feel heard, seen, and actively involved in your care. I integrate evidence based research into every session and I proudly consider myself a bit of a nerd. I really value collaboration. You can expect open conversations about what’s working, what’s not, and how we can tailor treatment to best meet your needs. I also welcome feedback, as it helps shape our sessions and ensures we are making meaningful progress.

I’m especially passionate about working with chronic pain, concussions and brain injury, and first responders navigating heightened stress and triggers. I’m committed to developing practical, sustainable strategies that support both recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time in nature with my husband and dog or running along the Kitsilano Seawall. I grew up on Bowen Island, so being surrounded by trees is still an essential part of my weekly routine.

Dr. Zahra was born and raised in North Vancouver. She earned a Bachelors of Science with a double major in Biology and Medical Science at the University of Western Ontario while also playing varsity field hockey. After graduation, she returned to Vancouver where she nurtured her interest of older adults and strived towards a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Gerontology at Simon Fraser University. Still hungry to learn more, she moved to funky-beautiful Portland, OR to concurrently undertake a Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Masters in Sports Medicine at the University of Western States. During her time in Portland, Zahra’s love for food and cooking blossomed. When not at the clinic, you will spot her frequenting and indulging at Vancouver’s many fine food establishments.

Zahra has direct, clinical experience assisting athletes on the sidelines of football games and at the finish lines of marathons. In doing so, she has enhanced her ability to improve patient recovery time, performance, and overall wellness. She loves working and problem solving with all populations including high school students, pregnant women, desk jockeys, weekend warriors and older adults.

Zahra truly believes that no patient is the same and no one, regardless of injury, should be afraid to move. In order for her to provide patient-centered care, she makes it a priority to regularly add to her tool box with a variety of certifications and continuing education courses, such as Active Release Technique, Rock Tape, McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis, Mulligan and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization. She believes movement, soft-tissue techniques like ART, instrument-assisted and myofascial cupping are great tools in addition to chiropractic manipulation to promote recovery from injuries related to car accidents, daily life or sports. Her favourite part of being a Chiropractor is having the ability to get to know each patient, find out what drives them on a daily basis and empower them to accomplish their goals. Zahra is eager to help you get back to doing what you love (or need) to do!

I was drawn to speech-language pathology because communication is so closely connected to identity, confidence, and independence. I’m especially inspired by the brain’s capacity to adapt and recover, and by the meaningful relationships that develop through rehabilitation.

Supporting adults through neurological changes is at the core of my practice. I work with individuals navigating stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological conditions that affect communication and cognition. I have a particular interest in cognitive-communication and aim to support clients in participating more confidently in daily life, work, and relationships.

I also work with individuals experiencing voice concerns, including those who rely on their voice professionally. Singing has been part of my life since childhood and continues to shape how I understand breath, vocal efficiency, and expression in therapy.

My approach is individualized, practical, and grounded in evidence-based care. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and taking the time to understand what matters most to each person. Therapy is collaborative and goal-oriented, with strategies designed to feel relevant and sustainable.

Originally from Italy, I now call BC home. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking with my dog, skiing, surfing, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Eijaz graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors of Kinesiology in 2021 and a Master of Management in 2022. His passion for rehabilitation medicine came from his own journey through the multiple injuries he sustained growing up playing high-level hockey and soccer. Exercise has always been a big part of his own rehab, which is why he strives to push the importance of exercise and movement in the rehab of his own clients. Eijaz also completed a Minor in Psychology. He is a strong advocate for the significance that mental health plays alongside physical health. He understands that these two facets must work together for his patients to get the best possible outcomes. He doesn’t believe in just treating the injury, but instead utilizing a patient-centered model, where care is individualized to treat his client in full.

He values an evidence-based approach with everything he does and continues to push his own understanding each day to constantly better the care he can give his clients.

About

Having spent years swinging on the pendulum from conventional to holistic medicine, I have finally landed somewhere in the middle of the integrative sphere, here in the world of naturopathic medicine.

Chronic illness has shown up in many forms throughout my life, often frustrating me to no end. Naturopathic medicine has allowed me to stand with my struggles, making space for and understanding them, ultimately allowing me to make amends (slowly, but surely).

Through a trauma-informed lens, I support patients navigating:

  • Mental Health: Anxiety, Depression, Neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism, OCD, HSP)

  • Hormones & Menopause: PCOS, Diabetes, Thyroid dysfunction, Menstrual pain & irregularity

  • Stress: Chronic & Acute

  • Fatigue: Chronic & Acute

  • Insomnia/difficulty sleeping

  • Metabolism & food-related concerns

  • Autoimmune & Complex-chronic Illness

  • Skin Health

  • Addiction

I’m especially committed to creating a safe, inclusive space for LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, disabled, and marginalized communities.

While I understand and respect the need for standardization of care, I remain in my belief that healthcare should be accessible, collaborative, and tailored to your individual experience.

My approach combines evidence-informed naturopathic medicine with conventional care when appropriate.

These services include:

  • Clinical nutritional counseling

  • Botanical medicine

I aim to take a collaborative approach to support the people I work with to use practical, evidence-based tools, and build the skills and confidence they need to engage in the activities that help them to live a meaningful life.

I have experience in a variety of practice areas including mild traumatic brain injury, mental health, musculoskeletal injury, ergonomics, home health, chronic illness, and return to work after injury or illness. My practice has gradually shifted toward working with individuals with trauma-related conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and various mental health challenges. My experience in mental health has informed my practice as a whole, as I’ve gained a strong appreciation for the important role mental health plays across all conditions. My goal is to bring empathy, curiosity, and authenticity to my work, with a strong focus on developing therapeutic rapport and fostering a supportive, collaborative environment to create meaningful change.

I have been practicing physiotherapy since 2018 and continue to be inspired by the adaptability and resilience of the human body. I use an evidence-based and goal-oriented treatment approach including education, exercise, manual therapy, dry needling (IMS), and coaching. I love learning about my patients’ “life stories” and what makes them tick to treat them as people rather than injuries.

As an avid runner, I’ve naturally gravitated towards supporting individuals to reach their running goals – whatever they may be. During a two-year hiatus from running following multiple foot surgeries in 2023, I dedicated myself to becoming a “running nerd” by diving into courses on running-related injuries and performance coaching. I love treating runners because I understand firsthand the important role it can play in a person’s quality of life and wellbeing.

My other clinical areas of expertise include persistent/chronic pain, concussions, and vestibular rehab. I stay up to date on emerging evidence surrounding pain science, manual therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioural coaching to provide my patients with the highest quality of care.

Outside the clinic walls, I enjoy playing soccer and tennis, running, disc golfing, surfing, and walking my corgi, Leonard. I’m also a big bookworm and passionate meditator. My happy place is on Keats Island with friends and family.

Hi, I’m Sean. I’m a physiotherapist with a deep interest in helping people move better, feel better, and stay active in the ways that matter most to them.

I’ve been in the rehab world for over a decade, with a focus on orthopaedics, manual therapy, dry needling, and persistent pain. My clinical work is rooted in listening first and building a plan together, whether that’s recovering from an injury, managing persistent pain, preventing future issues, or just feeling stronger and more capable in everyday life.

I treat a wide range of conditions, with particular interest in shoulder pain, neck and low back issues, cervicogenic headaches, male pelvic health concerns, and long-standing pain that hasn’t responded to other approaches. I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to the science of pain and how the latest evidence translates into better care at the bedside.

Outside of clinical work, I’m involved in teaching and mentorship through AMP Healthcare Education, and I work with Tall Tree Health on leadership development and bringing research and innovation into everyday practice.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me in the gym, mountain biking, reading, or hanging out with my wife and two daughters.

My first experiences of rehabilitation included witnessing my mother and brother endure painful rehabilitation treatments following a workplace injury of the shoulder for my mother that included torn rotator cuff muscles and severe lower leg burns for my brother. Observing these rehabilitation treatments as an adolescent, I thought to myself, I can do this type of work and do it better with less pain for the people I work with. This personal experience has shaped me into the clinician I am today that is a passionate advocate for evidence-based, client-centred, equitable and inclusive access to high quality rehabilitation services. That is why I have chosen Tall Tree as a place to work as their core value is “healthcare the way it should be done”.

My personal experience has provided me with an understanding of the life disruption that often occurs following injury and the importance of re-engaging in our meaningful activities/occupations. Therefore, my therapeutic environment includes a caring and safe space for diverse clients to discuss their current occupational challenges. I consider myself a positive and curious person that is always eager to learn alongside my clients. For me, being an Occupational Therapist is not just a career; it is a way of being that fully encompasses my life values.

Activities that are meaningful to me include socializing with friends and family, reading the newest non-fiction book, running, hiking, snowboarding and playing with my cat Toebie (polydactyl – he has six toes on each paw!).

A true Vancouverite, Patrick was born and raised on the North Shore and grew up playing a multitude of sports - hockey, rugby, basketball, track and field, you name it. This meant a fair amount of injuries and many hours working with physiotherapists to rehab and help get him back onto the playing field. This is where he gained a deep respect and interest in the Physiotherapy profession, and he felt compelled to pursue a career as a physiotherapist.

Patrick completed his undergraduate degree at UBC in Kinesiology and his Masters degree at London South Bank University in London, England. He has previously worked as a kinesiologist in private clinics, and supported patients with orthopaedic injuries and concussions.

Patrick is passionate about helping people optimize their physical fitness and physical activity goals so that they can spend more time doing what they love. He works with clients through an individualized approach to meet their goals, whether that is returning to the playing field, or returning to a weekend hobby. In session with Patrick, you can expect a combination of manual therapy, exercises and tools to help self manage and prevent future injuries.

Before becoming a physiotherapist, I taught trauma-informed meditation and yoga, and those experiences continue to shape how I practice today. Creating a space that feels welcoming, non-judgmental, and safe for people from all walks of life is deeply important to me.

My approach to care is grounded in evidence-informed practice, pain science, and a biopsychosocial perspective. I enjoy working collaboratively with people to create treatment plans that feel meaningful, manageable, and worthwhile. Whether someone is recovering from an injury, managing persistent pain, or navigating changes in their body, my goal is to support them in reconnecting with the activities and movement that matter most to them. I’m continually inspired by the resilience and adaptability of the human body and love helping people rediscover what it’s capable of.

In my practice, I offer both orthopedic and pelvic health physiotherapy. I’m particularly interested in supporting people with pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, and bowel or bladder concerns, and I’m passionate about helping bring greater awareness and less stigma to pelvic health conversations. I also enjoy working with people experiencing low back pain, scoliosis, shoulder injuries, hip and knee osteoarthritis, and with weightlifters looking to stay strong and active.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll likely find me cycling, backpacking, strength training, sitting in the sauna, or drinking tea with my cat.

Lynita discovered her passion for rehabilitation and physiotherapy after a sports injury of her own. During her third year studying psychology at Queen’s University, she tore her ACL. After months of excellent physiotherapist-guided rehabilitation, she was able to come back to sport, and returned to play in Canada’s National Ringette League (NRL). It was then that she decided to pursue a Masters in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and help others along a similar path to recovery.

While at UBC and Vancouver Coastal Health, Lynita collaborated on projects dealing with various subjects: tendon healing, chronic pain, and patient education. Her work was published in peer-reviewed academic journals for many of these topics.

After years of studying and working in rehabilitation research, Lynita decided she wanted to work directly with the people that her research was meant to help. She made a change; and so began her second Masters program. This time in Physical Therapy at UBC.

Through her studies and years of experience as a PT, Lynita has gained an extensive and impressive skill set with a wide range of clients; she’s taken a special interest in sport-related injuries, post-operative rehab, concussion, chronic pain, and geriatric rehabilitation. Lynita continues to stay up-to-date on the latest clinical research in order to provide her clients with the best possible care.

An athlete all her life, Lynita has competed in ringette from club to international level, and has coached elite teams across the Lower Mainland. She has experience providing on-field coverage as a Sports First Responder for ringette, basketball, hockey, volleyball, and rugby. While Lynita has ample experience working with athletes, she loves working with people of all abilities and experience; her treatment approach is heavily rooted in both education and functional exercise, which she combines with manual therapy and IMS (intramuscular stimulation).

On the weekends, you’ll still find Lynita at an ice rink, proudly representing British Columbia in the NRL. During the off-season, she’ll likely be making her way up a North Shore mountain, spending time amongst the tall trees in the forests she grew up exploring.

Lynita is looking forward to meeting you, and helping you reach your own goals!

My passion for physiotherapy grew from my own love of movement, exercise, and overall wellbeing. I’m originally from the Sunshine Coast, and I completed my undergraduate degree at UBC Okanagan and my Master of Physical Therapy at UBC Vancouver.

I’m driven to help people feel strong, capable, and confident in their bodies, especially when pain or injury has been holding them back. I take a whole-body, movement-based approach, blending musculoskeletal physiotherapy with pelvic health, pain science, and exercise rehabilitation. My treatment style integrates manual therapy, individualized exercise, breathwork, and nervous system regulation to support lasting change.

I have a special interest in pelvic health across the lifespan, including pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause. I particularly enjoy helping those with pelvic pain conditions, bladder dysfunction, prolapse, postpartum return-to-sport, and cancer rehabilitation. I also work with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, with a particular focus on running and detailed running assessments to optimize performance and reduce injury risk.

I value building genuine connections with my clients and creating a space where people feel heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves. I believe that feeling safe and supported is a key part of the healing process, and that rehab should be something you actually enjoy along the way.

I’m always learning and evolving to better support my clients. Outside of the clinic, you’ll usually find me trail running, lifting at the gym, exploring new restaurants, or planning my next overseas adventure.

Hi I’m Jiyoon, a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).

I chose massage therapy because I believe people should be able to live with less pain, and continue doing what they enjoy. I’m fascinated by how the human body functions and adapts, and I bring that curiosity into my clinical approach.

My goal is to help reduce discomfort, improve movement, and support the body in returning to a more balanced regulated state, so you can get back to the activities that matter to you.

While relaxation is an important part of treatment, I focus on helping patients understand and manage their pain incorporated with assessment, targeted treatment, and realistic home care education so you can build awareness of your body and continue improving outside of each session.

My approach may include techniques such as Myofascial release, Swedish massage, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization(IASTM), dynamic stretching/release, and neuromuscular techniques to reduce muscle tension and improve movement.

Growing up I played all sorts of sports: soccer, basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, badminton - even some table tennis. I had the good fortune of working with fantastic physiotherapists who supported me getting back to what I loved. Later on, when pondering what to do with my life, these experiences loomed large; I could now put my nerdiness to use helping people get back to doing the things they love: be it on a sports field or more generally in the field of life. I can honestly say I equally enjoy working with an athlete getting back to high performance competition as working with a grandmother wanting to lift her grandkids with less pain.

I enjoy pondering big questions in physiotherapy and am happiest when I am learning new things. I worked for 4 years as the Education Manager at the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia - working with some of the smartest minds in physiotherapy for courses and conferences on physiotherapy best practice. You will regularly see me talking with other physiotherapists about how to best treat different conditions or better build a relationship with a patient. I also love teaching - be it mentoring clinicians in my role as Clinic Director in Vancouver or teaching “Learning Nights” for local physiotherapists. My clinical philosophy can be summed in the phrase “movement optimism” - I believe that our bodies are profoundly adaptable with the right treatment and support. A treatment session with me will often consist of manual therapy, education around what is likely causing the issue, and coaching through movement or exercise.

These days in my spare time I am loving discovering the world with my young daughter and wife, running in my hometown of Richmond (it’s nice and flat!) and competing in trivia nights and board games with friends.
