Dr. Zahra was born and raised in North Vancouver. She earned a Bachelors of Science with a double major in Biology and Medical Science at the University of Western Ontario while also playing varsity field hockey. After graduation, she returned to Vancouver where she nurtured her interest of older adults and strived towards a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Gerontology at Simon Fraser University. In doing so, she has enhanced her ability to improve patient recovery time, performance, and overall wellness. She loves working and problem solving with all populations including high school students, pregnant women, desk jockeys, weekend warriors and older adults.
Zahra truly believes that no patient is the same and no one, regardless of injury, should be afraid to move. In order for her to provide patient-centered care, she makes it a priority to regularly add to her tool box with a variety of certifications and continuing education courses, such as Active Release Technique, Rock Tape, McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis, Mulligan and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization. She believes movement, soft-tissue techniques like ART, instrument-assisted and myofascial cupping are great tools in addition to chiropractic manipulation to promote recovery from injuries related to car accidents, daily life or sports. Growing up Nathan played all sorts of sports: soccer, basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, badminton, even some table tennis. In the midst of these endeavours he inevitably came across a few physiotherapists who helped him along the way getting back to the court/field/table. Later on, when pondering what to do with his life, these experiences loomed large; Nathan could now put his scientific inclinations to use helping people get back to doing the things they love: be it on a sports field or more generally in the field of life. He equally enjoys working with an athlete getting back to high performance competition as he does a grandmother wanting to hold her grandkids with less pain.
Nathan enjoys pondering big questions in physiotherapy and is happiest when he is learning new things. He often thinks about how we can leverage the research to help people achieve their goals. You will regularly see him talking with other physiotherapists about how to best treat different conditions or better build a relationship with a patient. A treatment session with Nathan will often consist of manual therapy, education around what is likely causing the issue, and the physiotherapist’s most powerful tool - exercise.
Nathan graduated from the University of British Columbia’s Master of Physical Therapy program, and is now completing his Transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy through Evidence in Motion - a research group out the United States. He has worked in a few different clinics through the Lower Mainland and is excited to work with the Tall Tree team of forward-thinking physiotherapists. Nathan is also the Education Manager for the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia - helping coordinate education for physiotherapists across the province.
These days in his spare time Nathan enjoys making his dear wife go on slightly-longer-than-she’d-like hikes across Southwest BC, running in his hometown of Richmond (it’s nice and flat!) and competing in a board game with friends.

He loves learning about his patient’s “life story” to better treat them as a person rather than an injury.
Matt’s physiotherapy journey began while studying at McGill University where he worked as a student therapist with the men’s varsity rugby and soccer teams. He went on to earn his MSc. Lynita discovered her passion for rehabilitation and physiotherapy after a sports injury of her own. During her third year studying psychology at Queen’s University, she tore her ACL. After months of excellent physiotherapist-guided rehabilitation, she was able to come back to sport, and returned to play in Canada’s National Ringette League (NRL). It was then that she decided to pursue a Masters in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and help others along a similar path to recovery.
While at UBC and Vancouver Coastal Health, Lynita collaborated on projects dealing with various subjects: tendon healing, chronic pain, and patient education. Her work was published in peer-reviewed academic journals for many of these topics.
After years of studying and working in rehabilitation research, Lynita decided she wanted to work directly with the people that her research was meant to help. She made a change; and so began her second Masters program. This time in Physical Therapy at UBC.
Through her studies and years of experience as a PT, Lynita has gained an extensive and impressive skill set with a wide range of clients; she’s taken a special interest in sport-related injuries, post-operative rehab, concussion, chronic pain, and geriatric rehabilitation. Lynita continues to stay up-to-date on the latest clinical research in order to provide her clients with the best possible care.
An athlete all her life, Lynita has competed in ringette from club to international level, and has coached elite teams across the Lower Mainland. She has experience providing on-field coverage as a Sports First Responder for ringette, basketball, hockey, volleyball, and rugby. While Lynita has ample experience working with athletes, she loves working with people of all abilities and experience; her treatment approach is heavily rooted in both education and functional exercise, which she combines with manual therapy and IMS (intramuscular stimulation).
On the weekends, you’ll still find Lynita at an ice rink, proudly representing British Columbia in the NRL. During the off-season, she’ll likely be making her way up a North Shore mountain, spending time amongst the tall trees in the forests she grew up exploring.
Lynita is looking forward to meeting you, and helping you reach your own goals!

Sean has developed a keen interest in critical reasoning, pain science, chronic pain, neck and low back issues, migraines, headaches, and sports injuries. He’s known in the physiotherapy community for his passion for continuing education and staying on top of the latest research. But what Sean values most is building strong relationships with his patients. He’s all about listening to what his clients want to achieve, no matter how big or small the goal. His sessions are personalized, educational, and client-centered, with a mix of manual therapy and progressive exercise programs that empower patients to take charge of their health.
Sean is also a partner with AMP Healthcare Education, where he helps bring top-notch instructors from around the world to teach courses that are progressive, evidence-based, and clinically relevant. AMP also puts out evidence summaries that keep physiotherapists in the loop on the latest science and builds courses for healthcare professionals. Sean’s also written articles for the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia, covering topics like lumbar spine imaging, managing tennis elbow, preventing sports injuries, and handling whiplash disorders.
Now, Sean’s excited to be part of the Tall Tree team for the past many years. He loves working with top-notch clinicians, growing as a therapist, and giving his clients the best care possible. When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll probably find Sean hitting the trails on his mountain bike, running, or lifting weights at the gym. He’s also a fan of the local craft beer scene and enjoys sipping bold red wines from BC’s Okanagan region. But above all, he loves spending time with his wife and two daughters.
